Abortion and Morality

Is Abortion Morally Wrong or Right?

In the videos collected and posted on this page, you will hear different points of view discussed by various people of various professional backgrounds and belief systems. But people, despite their educational or professional background, should be mindful that discussing or debating on the morality of abortion from a secular and scientific point of views only - while ignoring and disregarding the religious moral beliefs and while putting aside God the creator and sustainer of all lives - their arguments may not have much value since it can be considered as flawed and defective views misguided by mere human assumptions that could only lead to more confusion and distortion of the truth of the matter, especially regarding the life and death issue involved in the case of abortion.

No scientists or other human beings can claim that they are the absolute authority over the preborn human life whether before or at the moment of or after fertilization/conception claiming or boasting that they are in charge of that conceived life unless they are tempted to believing to be what they are not. They should not forget that they are mere creatures that came to be what they are now through the same process the Creator planned theirs. According to the Judeo-Christian belief system, it is God who planned and created the opposite sex, male and female gender, in his image and likeness for the purpose of creating human lives in order to multiply and fill the earth. The same God's plan of procreation and propagation of biological lives are seen occurring with the lower species as well, including domestic and wild animals of all kinds, fish, birds, reptiles, insects, etc.

Whether one is an atheist or theist, any human being is inclined or obliged to accept the fact that someone with much higher supreme power, authority, intelligence, and wisdom to be in charge of all creation that exists in the universe. For those of us who have been enlightened by the biblical faith and guided through the supernatural revelations granted to us in the Holy Scriptures are inclined to believe that "human life" is truly sacred deserving full respect and dignity from its very inception: That is to say, from its very fertilization or conception because, in accordance with our biblically revealed faith, human life is created in the image and likeness of God who is the Supreme Author and Sustainer of all creatures - the living and nonliving.

Therefore, no one has any authority over the natural process of God's plan in the creative work of mankind. Any attempt of human interference to stop or change or destroy this process is considered a violation or abuse of God's will and plan of his creative process to take place through the normal sexual union of male and female or man and woman affecting procreation and propagation of new life destined to enjoy a full right to be conceived, to grow to its full-term, and to be born and live to its full potential on this planet earth like any other human beings created by God the Creator!

Sadly, some women who identify themselves as pro-choice or liberals or feminists would like to claim that conceived person or fetus in the womb - as they prefer to call it as a "woman's property" that does not have any right if she decides to terminate the pregnancy for any reason whatsoever; because according to this claim, it is her body and she can do with her body whatever she wishes to do. In reality, however, even the woman herself is NOT her own property because she neither could create herself nor create her body with all its variety of organs that it contains. Her whole body is simply an amazing and fascinating work of the omnipotent and omniscient God. It is God who created male and female for the purpose of procreation and propagation of human lives. As a matter of fact, every man and woman with the exception of the first man and woman, are products of sexual act or union of a man and woman (male and female) who were fertilized and conceived the way the Creator planned and designed it. A nd they come to their full existence because they were not aborted or destroyed by human interference of killing.

Even though some medical scientists will attempt to confuse us saying that no one knows when exactly a fetus can be called a person (or baby) or when the soul is infused into the body or the fetus, it is a common belief among many scientists, religious people, as well for most ordinary people that human life begins at its very inception, that is, at its fertilization and conception after the sexual intercourse has taken place. Human life is life with its full potential of becoming someone someday, if it is not killed through some sort of human interference using some harmful chemicals or some other means before, at or after its very fertilization/conception. And such an act is considered as an act of killing human life at its inception or its varying growing/developing stages to become a fully human ready to be born.
